Hello! Thank you for visiting my personal website and for wanting to learn a little bit about me. My name is Jen and I've been a Minnesotan for my entire life. Living up north suits me as I love winter sports and can think of few things that are as beautiful as a fresh falling snow. My husband and I live on 40 acres of gorgeous woodlands with two ponds. We have in our current family, 3 horses....an 18 yr Andalusian, a 6 yr old Georgian Grande, 4 yr old Haflinger and 2 dogs, a young Weimaraner X greyhound and an Anatolian X Golden, both shelter adoptees. We also enjoy a small flock of 10 Cochin chickens. I have been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. I have done much rehabbing of thoroughbreds off the track as well as rescues. I was the large animal humane agent for around 9 years and used to be the Education Chairman of the Northland Horsemen's Association years ago. I have worked also as a vet tech, teacher in vet tech program, mgr of marketing for an acute rehab unit where I traveled around MN and Wis, screening stroke patients and educating the physicians on criteria for admitting patients to our unit. I have a passion for health and have studied holistic nutrition as well as developed a strong dislike for pharmaceuticals. I am passionate about keeping people and animals off of prescription drugs as much as possible and finding natural, healthy, helpful alternatives that work better than the drugs to accomplish the goal.
